Below you will find funding that is available for VCSE organisations in Barnsley.  Before applying, always make sure you meet the criteria for the fund.  It’s also a good idea to subscribe to our emails as we will send out the latest opportunities we have been made aware of that may not be listed below.

The purpose of this grant funding programme is to support the provision of a collective diverse community short breaks offer to support children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) in Barnsley.

Grant size: The Council anticipates that funding for individual providers will normally be limited to a maximum of 10-12 places per session for tier 1 specialist support and 15-20 places per session for tier 2 targeted support, depending on the nature of provision proposed.

Duration: 3.5 years (1 October 2026 to 31 March 2030)

The purpose of the Food Innovation and Poverty Action Fund is to support initiatives designed to reduce the impact of poverty and to reduce food insecurity for Barnsley residents.

Grant Size Up to £10,000

This fund is for any VCSE organisation looking to increase inclusion of their services or bring diverse community groups together in their area.

Grant size: Up to £10,000 (Limited to £5,000 per year but may apply for repeat funding)

Duration: Up to 2 years (must be spent by March 2027)
