Despite the plans to abolish Local Healthwatch in the new Health Bill that is currently progressing through Parliament, it is still very much business as usual here in Barnsley.

We are your local health and social care champion from Penistone to Goldthorpe and everywhere inbetween. Our Team are passionate about bringing the lived experience of residents to service providers, where we have the power to make sure NHS leaders and other decision makers listen to your feedback and improve standardsof care. We can also help you to find reliable and trustworthy information and advice.

Over the next few months, we are involved in a national piece of work looking at people's experiences of being discharged from hospital when things haven't gone as they should.
