Small Grants for 2040 Community Consultations

The purpose of these small grants is to enable community groups, charities and other local not for profit organisations to run a consultation event with the people in their group, asking them what matters to them about the Barnsley of the future.

·      Grant size Up to £500.  Whilst groups / organisations of any size are welcome to apply, we have ring-fenced a minimum of 50% of the budget for organisations with an income of less than £50,000 because we are really keen to hear from smaller organisations who may have fewer opportunities for their voices to be heard.

·      Duration Consultations to take place sometime between 16th November and 24th December

·      Funder Barnsley Council – Barnsley 2040 Team

·      Funds open - Open

·      Deadline – 10am on Monday 2ndNovember

·      Project start – groups will be notified of the outcome on 11th November.

‍

A new opportunity to apply for up to £500 for your community group by running a 2040 consultation event:

This is a chance for your group members, young or old, to say what matters to them when thinking about the Barnsley of the future.   No problem if you haven’t run anything like this before– advice and resources can be provided and you can be as creative as you like in how you do the consultation and how you feed back people’s thoughts.  It could be by doing more traditional questionnaires, but alternative approaches such as producing songs, videos, artwork, labelled up maps etc all welcome too!

The application form asks what you would like to do and how much it will cost - please send it in by 10am on Mon 2ndNovember.  The consultation itself needs to take place sometime between 16th November and 24th December.

If you have any questions, please email funding@barnsleycvs.org.uk or call 01226 448796.
