Abdul brings over 20 years of experience in project management, community development, human rights, policy and advocacy, volunteering, and volunteer management. He has a strong understanding of third sector work in the community . Abdul has previously worked with local charities including Third Sector Leaders Kirklees, Immigration & Asylum Support Kirklees, and Welcome Mentor in Huddersfield.
He joined Barnsley CVS in July 2025 as a Volunteer Coordinator, working on a partnership project with the Refugee Council. In this role, Abdul supports and manages volunteers, helping to strengthen community engagement and inclusion.
Abdul holds a bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science, as well as a Master’s degree in International Law. He is passionate about supporting local communities and is committed to empowering volunteers through inclusive and meaningful opportunities.
