This is an exciting and unique opportunity to shape the future of fundraising across Barnsley through a new role for the borough.

As VCSE Fundraising Development Lead, you will lead and shape the development and delivery of a borough-wide fundraising strategy that strengthens the fundraising capability, sustainability and resilience of valuable and impactful voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations.

Working with charities, community groups, social enterprises, businesses, funders and statutory partners, you will champion a collaborative approach to fundraising, helping organisations develop the skills, confidence and strategic thinking needed to generate sustainable income and maximise their impact.

This is not a traditional fundraising role focused solely on raising money for one organisation. Instead, you will work across the borough to build fundraising capacity, develop innovative and diverse income generation initiatives and create a stronger culture of giving that benefits the entire VCSE sector and local communities.

Alongside this strategic work, you will also contribute to increasing the resilience of Barnsley CVS's own income generation, ensuring the organisation continues to grow its services and support for communities across Barnsley.
