South Yorkshire Climate Alliance (SYCA) and Barnsley Civic are seeking a highly organised and proactive Repair Cafes Co-ordinator to support a new project aiming to establish a Repairing-Communities Network across Barnsley.
The Network will act to enable communities to reduce waste, lower living costs, build skills and take practical local action on climate and sustainability, whilst helping to create a sense of community cohesion.
Working 10 flexible hours per week on a self-employed basis, the successful applicant will be an outreach worker, the first-point-of-contact for enquiries, and will maintain membership records, update our digital channels, and provide vital active support for events.
This role is ideal for someone with strong communication and administrative skills, who is confident working independently and passionate about supporting voluntary-lead, community, and faith sector activities in Barnsley.
That ‘someone’ will have the opportunity to play a key role in connecting groups, building partnerships, and helping us deliver impactful events and services.
Please send your CV and a short cover letter (max 1 page) explaining your suitability for the role to info@southyorkshireclimatealliance.org.uk
