35 hours a week

Job description:

This post holder will deliver a high-quality advocacy service as well as providing line management, support and guidance to the existing adult advocacy team.  

The post holder will also be a Designated Safeguarding Lead, providing safeguarding support to the wider team as required.

Role specific responsibilities

To provide comprehensive and effective support to adult clients, working within DRASACS policies and procedures; where appropriate, supporting them effectively through the

Criminal Justice System, ensuring that they understand their rights and responsibilities, and advocating on their behalf.

To model good practice in responding to the needs of DRASACS’ adult clients, adhering to DRASACS policy and procedure and encouraging this in others.    

To provide case management supervision, as required, to the adult advocacy team, ensuring that they are supported in carrying out their role.

Designated Safeguarding Lead responsibilities, effectively oversee safeguarding issues, across the wider service, in line with the legislative framework and DRASACS’ policies and procedures.  

To provide risk management advice and support as required, agreeing risk management plans as appropriate.

Maintain records, monitoring and evaluation systems as required, and provide information for the CEO when requested.

To support the ISVA team to deliver a quality service to our clients, addressing any performance issues as appropriate.

Lead the team in responding to change.  

To work alongside other SYSVP ISVA Leads.

To work closely with the SYSVP Contract teams ISVA manager.

The post is subject to a satisfactory DBS check and Police vetting.
