The role will involve a combination of providing housing advice and support to young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness through our housing advice service and supporting young people living in supported accommodation flats to grow in their independent living skills leading them to obtaining their own accommodation.
Key accountabilities.
Provide housing advice and support to young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to prevent or relieve their homelessness.
Interview and assess young people to determine their housing need and advocate on behalf of young people to ensure they are receiving the correct support.
Provide keywork support to a caseload of young people who live in self-contained supported accommodation flats.
Accurately record and monitor all data relevant to the role and ensure that all records are accurate and up to date for monitoring and funding reports.
To work with other agencies across the city and build strong working relationships in order to provide the best housing options and support to young people.
To offer flexible and creative ways of working to actively engage young people and ensure they fully participate in support offered.
Work as part of a team, covering for colleagues when required by the service manager.
