Hi everyone,

I’m Lara Bundock, and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the new CEO of Barnsley CVS. I am passionate about fostering collaboration and cohesion among the charity sector, the public sector, and the private sector. I firmly believe that society thrives when these three pillars work together well. Voluntary and charitable organisations play a crucial role in our communities, delivering essential support and driving transformation where it matters most. My mission is to ensure that the incredible organisations across Barnsley are well equipped to operate successfully, have their voices heard and feel empowered to deliver meaningful outcomes to the people, places and causes they care about.

Prior to this role, I was the founding CEO of an anti-trafficking charity called ‘The Snowdrop Project’.  I established and grew this over 12 years, so I know first-hand what it’s like to build and run a charity from the ground up navigating funding challenges, policy changes and growth pains.  More recently, I worked for the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) overseeing the delivery of practical support to the sector across England covering everything from governance to fundraising, to risk management, to volunteering.  I hope to bring all my experiences to the table and continue to learn from all the partners we work with and the communities we support.

I’m looking forward to connecting with many of you over the coming months.

You can meet Lara and ask her questions about what she hopes to achieve in Barnsley as well as an opportunity to get to know her better at our upcoming Engagement Event. Book your tickets here.
