Our Visitor Experience Volunteers provide a warm welcome to everybody, sharing their enthusiasm and passion for what we do at Wentworth Castle Gardens, and make sure our visitors get the most from their time with us. Volunteers help Wentworth Castle Gardens team to exceed our visitors’ expectations, every time, and for everyone.

Join our friendly and dedicated team, and meet people from all walks of life and form new friendships. We hope that all our volunteers will enjoy new experiences and learn something new every day, build their confidence and experience, and see first-hand the rewarding results of helping visitors have a great time.

As a Visitor Experience Volunteer, you will:
• Support visitors by providing them with information and guidance so they get the most from their time with us
• Welcome visitors at several points throughout their visit, not just at the start, so they can ask questions whenever they need to
• Respond to situations to ensure we always provide a great experience for people – and often spotting issues before they happen!
• Do the little things that make a big difference, such as remembering the name of a regular visitor
• Gather comments and feedback by chatting to visitors so that we can continually improve
• Help things run as smoothly and safely as possible, including getting to know health and safety and evacuation procedures
