Do you have good listening skills? Are you a good communicator? Would you like to offer direct support to people affected by Motor Neurone Disease? Then you could become an Association Visitor! Volunteers perform a vital role in supporting people affected by Motor Neurone Disease – both those with the disease and those close to them. They offer emotional support and give information about the Association and other services to help people make informed choices. All our Visitors are based in the local community as members of a team and usually have contact with people over the phone, via e-mail or will visit them in their own home.

Recruitment process:

Applicants will need to complete an online application form through our website. This will be followed by an interview. We hope to recruit quickly, induction training has been moved to an online platform through zoom, this is four separate two hour courses, delivered by a trainer. The role requires two references and an application for an enhanced DBS certificate.
