Jane Holliday has been appointed as Project Manager of Barnsley CVS on an interim basis.

The Barnsley CVS board is currently in the process of reviewing its business plan for 2022-2025 and its leadership and management structure to best serve the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector in Barnsley.

Jane has taken on the role alongside her current position as CEO of Age UK Barnsley.

She said: "I am delighted to be taking on this role to help Barnsley CVS through this transition period.

“I am a firm believer in alliances and organisations working together and making things work.

“I am looking forward to helping develop Barnsley CVS into a leading infrastructure organisation and helping fulfil its vision of creating a thriving, sustainable VCSE sector that is valued, respected and inclusive of all.”

Jane has worked in the voluntary sector since 1995, working for a number of mental health charities before moving to Age UK Barnsley six years ago.

She also chairs the Barnsley VCSE Strategy Group.

Melvyn Lunn, chair of the Barnsley CVS board, said: “Jane is well respected in the sector and has lots of experience.

“She has always been an advocate of the need for Barnsley CVS as an infrastructure organisation.

“I am sure she will be an enormous asset in picking up the executive leadership we have been missing and assisting in developing the way forward.”
