As you may be aware the government has announced that from April 2022 regulations will be put in place which will mean only fully vaccinated staff and volunteers will be allowed to deliver Care Quality Commission (CQC) services, apart from under limited exceptions.
These regulations will apply to those who have direct face-to-face contact with service users, including non-clinical roles.
We are sharing some of these updates, so you can be aware of these upcoming changes, and to consider how this may affect your staff, volunteers and the people you support.
For more detailed guidance, you can visit the relevant gov.uk page here.
The Red Cross have also put together some excellent support on having difficult conversations around vaccines, which maybe helpful.
We are awaiting NCVO to update some more accessible guidance around volunteering and will update this page as soon as we have it, but you can access their blog from December about the coming changes here.
We realise that it may seem a bit overwhelming, so please do get in touch, via [email protected] if you are unsure if your service will need to comply with these new regulations, and we will be happy to help you navigate this.
