Charities wanting to try and get a better deal for their energy are being used to get in touch will Citrus Energy.
Citrus Energy is social enterprise subsidiary of Cunninghame Housing Association, based in Ardrossan in North Ayrshire, but covers the whole of the UK and helps charities, and businesses, get the best possible deal for their energy.
Its service is free and they simply charge whatever supplier the organisation signs up with an introducers fee which is then fed back into the fuel advocacy side of the business, to help refer people to support services/networks if necessary.
Citrus Energy can find out when current contracts end and around six to nine months before that can obtain a renewal price. It can also take a look at energy bills to see if charities are paying the correct amount for its tariff, even if it's currently tied to a contract.
