Louise Perch, Engagement and Partnership Officer, introduces herself and explains her role.

"I would like to introduce myself as a new member of the team.

I joined towards the end of 2022 as Engagement and Partnership Officer and will work across South Yorkshire alongside: Voluntary Action Rotherham (VAR), Voluntary Action Sheffield (VAS), Voluntary Action Doncaster (VAD), Barnsley Community and Voluntary Service (Barnsley CVS) and South Yorkshire.

As Engagement and Partnership Officer, I will work with Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations to bring together charities and other VCSE groups, NHS, and Local Authorities to collaborate under the Integrated Care System (ICS).

For further details on the ICS please visit: What is an Integrated Care System? :: SYB ICS (syics.co.uk).

One core purpose of my role is to ensure VCSE organisations across South Yorkshire maximise opportunities to support our communities, to attain better health outcomes.  I hope to achieve this by:

- Supporting the development of meaningful engagement, collaboration, and involvement between VCSE sector and ICS.

- With a focus on health, ensure the VCSE sector is a key strategic partner within ICS.

- Create space for organisations to connect, contribute and influence decisions that affect our communities.

- Help identify local health and well-being priorities by working collaboratively.  Also highlighting the innovative work that is done in the community.

Our next South Yorkshire VCSE Alliance virtual event will be held on Tuesday 21 March 2023 between 1-4 pm.  To book a place, please click on this link: book your place here

Meanwhile, if you work in the VCSE sector, please feel get in touch by email:  [email protected] and I will be happy to arrange a visit to your organisation."

I look forward to working with you all.
