Jolly Good Communities, the Friends of Monk Bretton and English Heritage wish to look at ways to revitalise Monk Bretton Priory and turn it into a true community asset used by all sections of the community.

The local community have suggested a considerable number of potential developments for the site, including the restoration of two unused buildings.

The project will:

- help to understand how to transform Monk Bretton into a vibrant and valued community hub, meeting local needs and supporting its community

- undertake audience research and community consultation, including local community organisations toi understand how the buildings could be developed to support activities

- appoint an architect to develop initial drawings to meet the aspirations of the community

In order to do this the views of the community and of community organisations with an interest in running activities at the site are vital.

A survey has been established in order to coordinate these views and you are asked to share your thoughts with the team, including what activities would like to be seen at the Priory. The feedback given will be used to develop funding applications to relevant bodies that will seek to deliver some of these ideas.

Organisations can fill in the survey by clicking here. Once completed please email your response to [email protected].

A survey for residents is available by clicking here.

Alternatively please phone the consultant supporting the team whom is Tony Kirsop on 07886 274532.
