Barnsley CVS has a new online resource Brain Train. This is a new eLearning platform for local voluntary, charity and community groups. The system will allow groups to access affordable training in a convenient way.

John Marshall, Chief Executive, Barnsley CVS said: “We wanted to provide an eLearning solutions to nonprofits in Barnsley because we know that training staff and volunteers is a big challenge. Brain Train provides the tools to both large and small groups to make this happen.”

There are lots of courses available including statuary training and useful practical skills. Some of the courses are BMBC Safeguarding, IT & Microsoft Office Skills, Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering. There are hundreds of other courses that can help those who run groups. More courses can be added to grow and develop the library.

John added: “By encouraging people working in the third sector to increase their skills the whole community in Barnsley benefits.”
