About the job:
Are you a passionate teacher seeking a new opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the field of special education? A SEN School, specialising in Conductive Education, is currently seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as a teacher, or teacher-conductor, starting in January 2025.

Paces School (rated Good by Ofsted in June 2024) currently has 58 pupils from ages 3-18. We provide bespoke curriculum pathways, tailored to meet the learning needs of our pupils and underpinned by the philosophy and methodology of Conductive Education. You would be supported by dynamic and innovative Senior Leadership Team passionate about ensuring positive outcomes for all our pupils.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The job holder will undertake all tasks required within the remit of this role, including but not limited to:

• Plan and teach well-structured lessons/ Conductive Education programmes, following the school’s curriculum and schemes of work
• Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment
• Adapt teaching to respond to the varying needs of pupils within the class
• Inspire and motivate pupils through highly engaging, well-planned lessons taking full consideration of the needs of the pupils focusing on the individual style and pace of learning required
• Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
• Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
• Demonstrate a responsibility towards promoting the educational and developmental potential of all pupils
• Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s policies, practices and procedures, so as to support the school’s values and vision
• Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school
• Work with others on curriculum and pupil development to secure co-ordinated outcomes
• Demonstrate a commitment to personal development participating in recommended training programmes, conferences or courses and other aspects of professional growth
• Where appropriate, take part in the appraisal and professional development of others
• Communicate effectively with pupils, parents and carers
• Collaborate and work with colleagues and other relevant professionals within and beyond the school
• Develop effective professional relationships with colleagues
• Uphold public trust in the profession and maintain high standards of ethics and behaviour, within and outside school
• Have proper and professional regard for the ethos, policies and practices of the school, and maintain high standards of attendance and punctuality
• Understand and act within the statutory frameworks setting out their professional duties and responsibilities
