Voluntary Action Rotherham (VAR) is the lead body for supporting, developing and promoting the voluntary and community sector in the Rotherham Borough. Our role is to support and develop effective action to bring about positive change in the lives of individuals and communities in the local area.
As Link Worker Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing the PCN Link contract, evaluating the project and liaising with key stakeholders and partners to ensure that the service is delivered in line with best practice and commissioners’ requirements. A key part of this role will be building relationships with key staff in the PCNs, attending relevant meetings and being part of the wider network team.
You will also be responsible for managing a small team of PCN Link Workers, based within specific PCN localities and GP practices, providing strong leadership to motivate, challenge and support Link Workers to meet their contractual, financial and performance targets.
As well as having experience of building relationships at a senior level within a range of organisations or service providers, you should also have an understanding of the wider determinants of health including social, economic and environmental factors. As well as an ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of partners and stakeholders you should have experience of managing a team and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
