Rotherham & Barnsley Mind (R B Mind) has a number of different projects and delivers a wide range of services to support those with a mental health condition across both the Rotherham & Barnsley Boroughs. As a relatively small organisation the post-holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to below.  Such duties, however, will fall within the scope of the job. This job specification will therefore be subject to periodic review with the post-holder to ensure it accurately reflects the duties of the job.

This post holder will contribute to delivering a high-quality Children’s Therapeutic Wellbeing Service that provides advice, support and services to children and young people. Working therapeutically with children and young people in schools, to improve and promote emotional health, wellbeing and self-esteem.

To work with children and young people in a variety of environments, ranging from one-to-one work to group work, presentations and workshops.

Working arrangements:

The post holder will be part of the Children and Young People’s team which are based predominantly within schools in local communities. Hot desks are always available at either our Rotherham or Barnsley office. The Head Office operates during usual office hours. Your regular place of work is subject to change, and you will be required to undertake necessary work to meet the operational needs of the organisation and, if business reasons demand it, to transfer to another place of work.

Rotherham & Barnsley Mind does not have a dedicated team of administrative workers and therefore the post holder will be expected to manage their own administrative duties. All staff are expected, where necessary, to support and assist their colleagues in the carrying out of their duties and to contribute to the operation of the organisation.
