Description: 

As Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring that VAR’s premises are kept clean and tidy using the equipment provided and following safe working methods.  As well as ensuring all internal and external areas are clean, you will also be responsible for unlocking and securing the premises as necessary.

 

As well as being able to undertake the housekeeping duties required, the successful candidate must be able to work alone or as part of a small team, communicate effectively with users of the building and have a basic understanding of health and safety procedures.

 

The successful candidate must be a good timekeeper, adhere to confidentiality guidelines and be willing to work flexible hours when required to meet work demands.

 

Our normal housekeeping shift is 3.5 hours on weekdays (excluding bank holidays).  We are flexible in our approach to the working hours/pattern for this role and are accepting applications from those wishing to work anywhere between 7 hours (over 2 days) and 17.5 hours (over 5 days) and we may fill the post with two people.

Additional working will be required to cover annual leave and other absence

 

Please include in your application the minimum and the maximum number of hours you wish to work and if you would prefer to work early mornings (e.g. 5.30am to 9.00am) or early evenings (e.g. 4.00pm to 7.30pm).

 

£9.30 per hour (Living Wage Foundation rate)
